AFest is AfricaCom’s official stellar networking event, that is expected to bring 1000s of industry leaders together in one of Cape Town’s hottest venues – Shimmy Beach Club on November 13, 2018.

AFest, now in its third year, is always a popular event on the AfricaCom agenda.

This year AFest has announced a partnership with Internet-based music streaming service, Deezer.

All AFest ticket holders will now be eligible for a 3-month subscription to Deezer, activated when attending AFest. Ticket holders will be able to experience Deezer’s innovative leading functionality, including the extensive local catalogue, data optimisation, offline features, the signature FLOW feature and content curation for Africa.

Gillian Ezra, Head of African Operations for Deezer commented, “The partnership between AFEST and Deezer works so well. As the streaming service with the largest footprint on the African continent, it makes perfect sense to partner with this incredible event and the AfricaCom event overall. We look forward to a great night with fantastic artists”.

AFest 2018 is set to make a splash with its incredible line-up. The phenomenal line-up will include TRESOR, The Muses and Swing City, with more acts to be announced.

TRESOR is a stylish, multi-award-winning and platinum-selling singer-songwriter who first made a splash with his 2015 VII debut release. The album housed collaborations with Beatenberg, Khuli Chana and The Soil.

Johannesburg-based electric string quartet, The Muses, have a passion for entertaining. Combining evergreen classics with monster hits, this funky four-piece from Gauteng draw from The Muses of Greek Mythology who inspired the creation of literature and the arts – playing, singing and dancing as they stir others to do the same.

It’s easy to see why Swing City is called ‘SA’s Sexiest Swing Act’ – these are three singers on their A-game! Swing City is made up of Lonehill Estate’s Nathan Ro; Graeme Watkins, whose background in music started as a swing singer before his success on Idols or in the Graeme Watkins Project; and Loyiso Bala, whose classically trained career placed him in the frontline of the TZKee crew and in The Bala Brothers.

AfricaCom is the place to shape Africa’s digital future. It’s the most influential tech and telecoms event on the continent, making this THE best place to meet innovators driving Africa’s digital transformation. As a premier networking event, it pools cutting-edge innovators in African telecoms and technology, bringing together 14,000 attendees, 450 speakers and 400 exhibitors.
